Congratulations to Team Kingfisher Eve McMahon
Team Kingfisher sponsored sailor Eve McMahon has recently achieved the Gold medal in the U21 World Championships. 66 ILCA 6 boats took to the race course in Tangier, Morocco from 17th – 22nd October 2023. There were 11 races in total, and offshore wind conditions meant it was very gusty and shifty. This resulted in a high scoring regatta, so consistency was key. Overall Eve kept her scores relatively low which meant she went into the final day of racing with an 18 point lead. After the last race, she secured the U21 World Gold medal with a 14 point lead. She says “I am grateful to have ongoing support from Kingfisher Ropes and represent them at the highest level”.
