Kingfisher are the UK distributers of Gottifredi Maffioli ropes. Based in Novara, Italy, Gottifredi Maffioli was founded in 1926 and is still run by members of the Maffioli family today.
Gottifredi Maffioli have always been one of the most innovative rope manufactures in the world.
They were the first rope manufacturer to make climbing ropes from nylon, which were used by the Italian expedition that first conquered K2 on the 31st July 1954.
