GeoTwin® Polyester by Gleistein Ropes is the preferred choice for Superyacht mooring lines, this braid on braid rope is available from 20mm – 40mm diameter in black, navy blue and white. GeoTwin® Polyester is a permanently flexible, durable mooring line with balanced characteristics for large yachts. The ropes are coated with Gleistein Ropes special coating to improve abrasion resistance and increase service life.

We produce GeoTwin® Polyester ropes with spliced eyes, these eyes can come with Polyester, Dyneema or leather chafe protection. As each Super Yacht is unique we work with the Yards, Captains and Supply companies to provide our expert knowledge on the best requirements for each vessel.

Material
Polyester
Polyester has a specific gravity of 1.38 which means it will not float. Polyester has no strength loss when wet, it is flexible and has good abrasion resistance. Polyester fibres also have good resistance to chemicals and have a melting point of 295°C.
