Static Ropes

The Gleistein GeoStatic ropes are the ideal industrial safety rope produced to EN1891 Type A and available in 9mm, 10.5mm, 11mm and 12mm diameter in a range of colours.

The low elongation GeoStatic NE kernmantel ropes are ideal for carrying static loads. Each ropes is certified to the strict EN 1891 Type A “Low Stretch Kernmantle Ropes” standard – irrespective of diameter – and bears the UIAA safety label of the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation.

Material

Nylon

Nylon (or Polyamide) fibres are stronger than Polyester fibres and provide greater stretch (elongation), Ropes produced with Nylon fibres can lose upto 15% strength when wet. The specific gravity of Nylon is 1.14 which makes it sink, the fibre has a melting point of 250 degree C.
