Our latest product is designed for Club Racers and Cruising boats who are looking for an upgrade from Polyester or Dyneema® Cruise lines. Taper Steel has a Braided HT Polyester cover with a Uhmpe 12strand colour-matched coated core. The rope is extremely low stretch and high strength, and the 12-strand coated core is ideal for any tapered lines. Taper Steel is an excellent value product between our Dyneema® Cruise and Racing Dyneema® 78 range.

Polyester
Polyester has a specific gravity of 1.38 which means it will not float. Polyester has no strength loss when wet, it is flexible and has good abrasion resistance. Polyester fibres also have good resistance to chemicals and have a melting point of 295°C.
